Cupcake Decorating Workshop

Decorate cupcakes to share with your sweetheart on Valentine's Day! Join our friends from the Cupcake Station of Birmingham, who will help inspire your confectionary creativity, and take a few cupcakes home!
Workshop fee includes instruction, 2 cupcakes, frosting and toppings.

Workshop includes soil and personal instruction. Choose from a great menu of terrarium plants and glass vessels available for purchase.
Book Signing: 2:00 – 3:00 pmCopies of The New Terrarium and Tasha Tudor’s Garden will be available for signing.
Get your hands dirty and create your own indoor tropical garden under glass with special guest Tovah Martin, author of The New Terrarium. You will design a one-of-a-kind terrarium while Tovah shares her years of experience designing and maintaining terrariums.

The fourth annual Promise of Spring Lecture and Luncheon helps fund Shades
of Pink Foundation. Incorporated in 1995, shades of Pink has been helping
women as they go through their breast cancer journey. Shades of Pink, a
501c3 public charity, serves women from several hospitals in the Detroit
metropolitan area. Whether it's helping with a mortgage payment, the grocery
bills, or an insurance premium, Shades of Pink foundation is committed to
easiing the financial burden of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Cost includes luncheon, lecture and designer tablescapes.

Woodland Wonders from the Wild
with Barry Glick

Join native plant expert Barry Glick for a fascinating glimpse into the wonderful world of woodland wildflowers. Goldner Walsh will have a great selection of wildflowers available for sale!
Barry Glick has been involved in the plant world since 1954, when at the young, impressionable age of 5, he witnessed Don Herbert (Mr. Wizard on TV) put a cutting of a plant in a glass of water only to sprout roots a few shows later. Barry replicated the experiment with his one of his mother's prized Coleus plants, and as he watched the roots grow, knew that he was hooked for life.
Growing up in Philadelphia in the 60s, a Mecca of horticulture, Barry would hitchhike to Longwood Gardens before he was old enough to drive. In 1972 he realized there was just not enough room for him and his plants in the big city environment, so he bought 60 acres of a mountaintop in Greenbrier County West Virginia where he gave birth to Sunshine Farm & Gardens, started his plant collection, and has remained there since.
